Marley and Me

I just watched Marley and Me and god damn did I cry about it.

For those that haven't seen or even heard of this movie, I don't know what you're doing in life but it's clearly not working. You should go watch it, like right now. It's on HBO Max. Go...

I don't think this movie is the greatest thing ever made and there are certainly much sadder ones out there that don't involve animals but there is just something so charming about a dog, Owen Wilson, and Jennifer Aniston that just puts this shit over the top and really makes this a movie worth watching.

I am by no means a movie critique or reviewer of any kind, I just like talking about stuff with other people. They don't even need to share the same viewpoints as me, I would deadass like to know why you didn't like this movie. The pacing of the movie didn't feel rushed or drag on for too long, the dialouges felt genuine, Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston are solid in it, Owen Wilson says "wow" at least once in there so there's really not much to complain about really.

With that being said though, this post doesn't really serve any particular purpose, I just wanted to start writing more and producing more articles and I love watching movies so this served as a really good vessel to both watch more movies and write more. I'm still not entirely sure what to write in these movie articles, who knows, maybe I'll just write the plot and figure it out later. I've tasked myself to do this for the rest of the year so something is going to have to come of this.

Okay so, to cover this in as little time as possible, the movie opens with Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston getting married in a blizzard and pretty soon after they move to Florida. While in Florida they get an apartment and they're living together and whatnot. Owen Wilson gets a job at a newspaper company since his dream job was to be a reporter. Also his best friend at this moment, other than Jennifer's character obviously, is none other than McDreamy from Grey's Anatomy Eric Dane. Jennifer's character is wanting to advance in her life with her next step being a kid and so Eric's character convinces Owen's character to get a dog as that serves as a test or placeholder for having a kid. This is obviously where we see the introduction to Marley. Marley as a puppy is IMMEDIATELY a fucking riot and troublemaker, but I guess that's where the charm of Marley lies. This movie basically covers the life of Marley and his little escapades with his doggie parents. It's extremely charming but also super fucking sad. If you haven't seen it, I definitely recommend it. It's not thought provoking but, if you're a lover of dogs you'll definitely love it and also cry.

I think for now I'll leave it here. This post is going to serve as a test as to what kind of content these kinds of article is going to be and so we'll keep workshopping this shit and these articles should gradually progress and evolve into a different format.

Anyways, that will be all today! As always HUGE thanks to anyone that reads these articles even if you don't come back or even if you find it boring I appreciate you for even attempting to read it. I'm finding what I like to do creatively and so far this is the only one that I'm able to do consistenly and still have fun doing it. PEACE AND LOVE and I hope yall have a good day.
